Warhammer 40k Kill Team battle damage.

Downloaded and started playing WH40K : Kill Team on the xbox last night with my young clone.

It is the b@$t@rd child of 40k and old skool video game, Gauntlet.

Gaming moment from last night.

After successfully infiltrating and sabotaging an orc spacehulk, we have been ordered to chase down the orc warboss to exterminate him, while said hulk is losing orbit and about to crash:

Clone (Assault Squad Veteran with Chain axe and Plasma pistol):

"This orc warboss is going DOWN! These orcs can’t stop us at all, they are so weak!"

Me (Devastator veteran with heavy plasma cannon):

"I don’t know he has a large retinue with him, let them come to us, I’ll mow ‘em down and any that make it to us you cut them down."

Clone (Charges orc war boss):

"SPARTACUS!" *note – we have been using that as our battle cry when training with the nerf melee weapons.

Me (frustrated, starts throwing frag grenades to suppress retinue):

"C’mon man that is not cool!"

Clone (reaches orc warboss):

"DIE!" *note- Assistant cloning partner is concerned how vocal my young clone is while gaming …

Orc warboss and orc weird boy summon warp gate and teleport out…….

Clone (frustrated):

"Ah man, what cheaters ……"

Me (mopping up rest of retinue so I can get to clone):

"I guess head for the warp gate so we can chase ‘em down."

Warp gate changes to funky color.

Clone (gets to warp gate):

"Hmmm ... won’t let me use it."

Something comes out of gate.

Clone (standing in front of gate, codex identifies a new threat):

"What is a hormagaunt?"

Command vox:

Retreat to teleportation pad and escape down to planet.

Warp Gate - Literally vomits out a tsunami of hormagaunts.

Clone (all that can be seen of his space marine is his helmet and his chainaxe furiously swinging back and forth):

"Uh oh …."

Me (running for teleportation pad):

"RUN!"

Warp Gate - Vomits out a tsunami of genestealers. *note – SQUEE!

Clone (his marine goes down fighting):

"I need reviving!" *note- his version of “MEDIC!”

Me (teleporting out, thus completing mission)

"Uhhh … the emperor protects?"

Mission completion screen comes up.
